Governance

At Hills Montessori, our experienced and caring educators create tailored programs that focus on life skills, ensuring a nurturing environment for every child.

About Hills Montessori Society

The Hills Montessori Society is a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee, registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) under the Corporations Act (2001).

School Board

The Hills Montessori Society elects a Board of Directors, known as the School Board, consisting of 6 to 8 society members who are elected annually. The Board’s primary responsibilities include overseeing the management of the school and developing policies in collaboration with the staff. The Board meets monthly to discuss matters concerning the school and the Society.

Effective Management

Effective management requires the establishment and adherence to policies, procedures, and rules, and Hills Montessori School is no exception. The Board relies on the diverse talents within the parent community for input into the school’s development and operation.

Reporting and Compliance

The School Board reports to the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA), and the Association of Independent Schools (AIS). For more detailed information, please refer to our [[Annual Report]].
