Introduction
The Hills Montessori School is recognised as a Montessori School
and is a member of the Montessori Australia Foundation (MAF). The school is recognised and licensed by DoCS (Department of Community
Services). It is also a Registered childcare provider with the FAO
(Family Assistance Office).
We have Early Childhood Teachers as required by NSW Department of Community
Services and AMI trained Directresses.
Assistants at the
school are trained in the application of Montessori principles. All
staff are dedicated to providing a very special educational programme of
Montessori principles in the best possible environment.
The school operates
for 4 terms per year in line with the New South Wales Government school
terms. The school is closed on the first two days of term 1 and the
first day of terms 2, 3, and 4 for the setting up of the environment.
The school closes for 3-4 other days per year for in-service days in the
Montessori community.

Parents are advised
to make a time to observe a class before their child becomes a member of
it. An appointment can be made by ringing the school to organise a
time. Observations are not normally done in first term to allow the
children to settle in at the beginning of the year.
